Hello again.
Ok so I'm going to continue introducing myself a bit.
Now I want to explain, briefly, my modeling experience.
- I wanted to be a model
- Went to live in Tokyo to pursue it
- Immigration problems
- Back to ground zero
- College to prevent anymore problems and serve as plan B
Male modeling isn't actually as competitive or harsh as female modeling, but it also isn't as easy to find work in. And oh my god the scammers I have encountered. I have yet to encounter a legitimate modeling agency (not counting the ones in Japan) that didn't mark me as a sucker.
My most recent incident, I was told my pictures weren't quality pictures, and for only $800 I could make a better portfolio. These are the “bad quality pictures” she mentioned:
As you can see, these photos are indeed horrible quality...
I almost reached over the desk and strangled the con-woman with my bare hands, but I left before I had the chance. Though I did manage to steal a pen from her office.
While modeling can be rewarding though, my real passion is acting and singing. I LOVE to perform. It's just a lot harder to get into.
If anyone has any questions about modeling, I'd be more than happy to answer them for you.
Till next time.
